Dream Home: Australian Beach House

A quick side note before I even begin-spring has finally hit NYC! Actually, that's really probably what inspired me to write a post about a beach house, specifically this fabulously fun one on Peregian Beach in Australia.

The natural light and white walls suggest Scandinavian design influence, but the splashes of bright, citrusy color cast a warm and lively vibe on the entire house. I love the open window from the kitchen to the outdoors, making it easy to imagine a great party on a balmy night (much like the gorgeous one NYC is having as I sit on my back porch & write this!).

Dream Home: Melbourne Apartment

Lisa Breeze is a Melbourne based architect who lives in a 60's-era apartment filled with flea market finds & plenty of storage space (think shelves, cabinets, and lots of tables). I love the vintage touches set all around a clean, bright space. Updated cabinets and window treatments keep it all from feeling too dated. Also, the sink in the bathroom? My new favorite thing-hello, aqua tiles!
